Terms of
Service

The full agreement for working with Marko's Commissions — how quotes, payment, revisions and ownership work, and the rules that keep everything on the right side of Discord's own terms.

Last updated October 2026

01About these terms

These terms apply to every commission and order placed with Marko's Commissions ("we", "us", "I"). "You" means the client who places the order. Submitting an application, accepting a quote, or paying a deposit means you agree to them.

If something you need isn't covered here, say so before the project starts — anything agreed in writing for your specific project sits alongside these terms and wins if they ever disagree.

02The services

Marko's Commissions offers two services:

  • Graphic design — logos, brand identity, banners, overlays, UI/UX mockups, emotes and other assets, delivered finished and ready to use.
  • Bot services — custom Discord bots built from scratch (moderation, utility, automation, logging, dashboards), delivered documented and ready to host.

Exactly what's included in your order is written down in the scope before work begins — see the next section.

03Scope & changes

Every project starts with a written scope agreed by both sides: what's being made, how it behaves or looks, and what "done" means. Work outside that scope is re-quoted before it begins — nothing is added to the bill silently.

Small things that clearly fall inside the original idea are covered. If a change would meaningfully affect the time or price, you'll get a new quote to accept or decline first.

04Quotes & payment

  • Every project gets a fixed quote in USD. The price you're quoted is the price you pay unless the scope changes.
  • Quotes are firm for 14 days from the date they're sent.
  • Payment is 50% upfront to reserve a slot, the remaining 50% on final delivery — before the finished work is handed over.
  • Design work quoted under $25 is paid in full upfront.
  • Payment instructions are sent when the scope is agreed. Late payments pause your slot in the queue.

05Revisions & support

Design commissions include three revision rounds — a round is one batch of feedback, not one change. Extra rounds are quoted per round.

Bots I built get free bug fixes forever — if something breaks, it gets fixed at no cost, for as long as the bot exists. New features, new commands and changes of direction are new work, quoted separately.

06Refunds & cancellations

  • Cancel before work starts: full refund of everything paid.
  • Cancel mid-project: refund proportional to the work not yet done, at our discretion.
  • Once final delivery is accepted and paid, the order is complete and non-refundable — support windows still apply.
  • Chargebacks filed without talking to us first end the project immediately and forfeit the deposit.

07Ownership & licensing

Design work — on final payment, the finished design is yours outright, delivered ready to use.

Bot work — you own the Discord application and everything the bot does for you, but the source code stays with me: your bot is hosted and maintained on my side, free of charge, forever. This keeps fixes, updates and security patches in one pair of hands.

We keep the right to show completed work in a portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.

Third-party material inside a delivery (fonts, open-source libraries, platform assets) stays under its own license — you're responsible for using it in line with that license.

08Timelines & communication

Delivery estimates are honest estimates, not guarantees — they depend on scope and the current queue. If a deadline ever looks like it might slip, you hear about it before it happens, with a reason and a new date.

Clear communication goes both ways. If a project goes quiet for 14+ days with no contact from you, it's paused; after 30 days it's closed and the upfront payment is retained.

09Acceptable use

Our work may not be used for anything illegal, or for harassment, hate, scams, spam, raiding, doxxing or distributing malware. Requests that clearly exist to break a platform's rules — mass-DM tools, fake-utility scams, raid automation — are refused and refunded if already started.

10Discord's terms & guidelines

Because most of this work lives on Discord, both sides are expected to follow Discord's own rules at all times:

Discord Terms of Service — you need a Discord account in good standing, at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country), and you may not evade bans or share account credentials.

Automation rules — all automation we build runs on official bot accounts through Discord's bot application process. Self-bots and any automation through user accounts break Discord's Terms of Service and are refused.

Bot tokens — treat bot tokens like passwords. If you request hosting support, tokens are stored only with your knowledge; regenerating a token in the developer portal will disconnect a hosted bot until it's updated.

Community Guidelines — servers your bot operates in must follow Discord's Community Guidelines (no harassment, hate, illegal content or scams). We won't build or maintain features intended for servers that ignore them.

If a project turns out to require breaking Discord's terms, it's cancelled with a refund proportional to the work remaining — and we'll tell you why.

11After handover

Every bot I build is hosted on my side — hosting, uptime and bug fixes are free, forever, including fixes for Discord API or rule changes that break something that used to work. Brand-new features are quoted as new work.

12Liability

Services are provided as-is once delivered. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or actions taken by Discord or other platforms against your server or account. To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability is capped at the amount you actually paid for the project in question.

13Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time — the date at the top always shows the current version. Projects already in progress follow the terms they started under.

14Questions

Anything here you want clarified, ask before the project starts — it's much easier for everyone.
